PBRC maintains a number of core facilities to support research at the University of Hawaii. Most of these core facilities were established under NIH center grants to PBRC. They are maintained as Special Fund Research Recharge Centers (SRRC) in the University fiscal system. They collect fees for service and the proceeds are used to support and update the facility.
