Precision Nutrition COBRE Core Bucks Recipient Receives Award

Assistant Professor Peter Washington from the Information and Computer Sciences Department, a recipient of Core Bucks through the Precision Nutrition COBRE Core Bucks Program, recently received a $2.18-million New Innovator Award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to use AI to diagnose mental health conditions. The COBRE Core Bucks Program is a financial resource for early career investigators that provides limited funding to conduct small-scale research projects requiring access to Core laboratory facilities. The Core Bucks were provided by the Integrative Center for Precision Nutrition and Human Health, an NIH-funded Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE).
