The Center for Conservation Research and Training (CCRT) is a research program within the Pacific Biosciences Research Center at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa. CCRT was established to address Hawai‘i’s extinction crisis through enhanced research and training in the field of conservation biology. The mission of CCRT is to establish a center of excellence in the fields of evolutionary and conservation biology by taking advantage of the unique resources available in the Hawaiian Islands that will strengthen the University of Hawai‘i’s capability to educate and train professionals who can participate effectively in addressing global environmental problems.
