Accomodations

The Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort has set aside rooms at discounted rates. Ocean view rooms (Run-of-Ocean) are available at $120/night for SNRP attendees. However, we have arranged for five rooms per SNRP at a bargain price of $90/night (City Views). These rooms can be distributed to students or post-docs at the discretion of the SNRP Director. Each SNRP Program Director should identify those individuals who qualify for the $90/night room rate and provide us a list of five names. SNRP Directors must submit their lists to snrp-hawaii@pbrc.hawaii.edu by March 27, 2003! Indivduals listed for the $90/night rooms through their respective Directors should not contact the hotel directly. The list provided to us is in lieu of a hotel reservation.

The hotel room rates above are for single or double occupancy and subject to applicable taxes (11.416%) upon check-in. There is a maximum occupancy of 3 people per room, with a charge of $30 for the third person; however, there is no additional charge for children (18 years old an under) when accompanied by a paying adult.

The Room Rates specified above are available to SNRP attendees for three days before and after the meeting dates. However, after March 27, 2003, these hotel room rates will be available ONLY on a space- and rate-available basis.

Hotel Reservations

To make your hotel reservation, call the Marriott reservation desk at 1-800-367-5370. The registration code for the $120 room rate is SNRP. Please note that all reservations must be accompanied by a one-night room deposit or secured with a major credit card.

To avoid penalty charges, equivalent to one night's room and tax charges, cancellation should be made more than 72 hours prior to the intended arrival.

Parking/Valet Services

Those with rental cars should make note that parking at the hotel is relatively expensive -- $10 for self-parking and $14 for valet. These charges are the responsibility of the individual attendee. However, street parking may be available on Kalakaua Avenue by Kapiolani Park. This public parking is a combination of metered-parking and free parking (if you are in luck!).

Special Accommodations

Individuals who require special accommodation (i.e., special access parking, large print, etc.) should contact us through our email address (snrp-hawaii@pbrc.hawaii.edu). Please explain how we can help address your specific needs.
