Invited speakers and oral presenters can upload a copy of their PowerPoint presentation before coming to the conference. Uploaded files will be tested on the equipment we will use for the sessions. We will let you know if there are any problems. The deadline for presentation uploads is 12:00 noon (Hawaiian Standard Time) Monday May 26, 2003. After that time, presentations will only be accepted at the Conference Internet Room.

Aloha! Welcome to the official website of the 3rd Annual SNRP Meeting. The Hawaii-SNRP is pleased to host this year's conference, showcasing the various SNRP programs and projects at NINDS supported minority institutions. The theme of this year's conference is "Excellence in Neuroscience at Minority Institutions" and will reflect the growth and diversity of neuroscience research at these minority institutions.

Our Scientific Program will cover the scientific foci of the different SNRP programs and projects in the exciting areas of:

· Neurodegeneration and Neuronal Injury
· LTP and Plasticity
· Neurotoxic Agents and Cembranoids
· Neuroscience of Drug Abuse
· Circadian Rhythm and Hibernation
· HIV & Dementia
· Neural Control of Respiration

We have Plenary and Introductory Speakers who are distinguished neuroscientists, represent various NIH Institutes, or are members of SNRP External Advisory Committees.

Please join us in May 2003 to join the SNRP community and invited speakers in celebrating the various SNRP Programs... We, at the Hawaii-SNRP, hope to see you all in May!
