Hawai`i State Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience

Neurosicence Guest Researcher Seminars
Fall 2000

1. Most important, please be sure to prepare a presentation that will be of interest to a general audience. A glance at previous seminar titles will confirm that you will be speaking to a diverse group, and cannot assume that the group will have expertise in your particular field.

2. Our seminar room is set up with a digital projector and a pc (not mac) with a zip drive and PowerPoint. Easiest way to bring slides is on a pc mountable zip (Macintosh powerpoint files on such a disk can be run from the pc). There is also an overhead projector, but no slide projector.

3. Look at the schedule and pick a free date or dates.

4. Send the following information to SFN_Webmaster

a. Name

b. Date

c. Affiliation

d. Talk title

d. Audiovisual needs (if different from equipment listed above)

Scheduled time slots are generally first come first served, and the web schedule is updated frequently, but it is still possible that someone has already booked your preferred time - if this happens you will be notified as soon as possible.
