HARC 007 - HIV Morbidity and Mortality in the Hawaiian/part Hawaiian
Population. The Hawaiian and part-Hawaiian population has traditionally
exhibited a higher prevalence and/or susceptibility to many medical problems
including many infectious diseases, diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular
disease. This population also
suffers from increased problems with poverty and access to traditional medical
care. This study will attempt to
determine, through analysis of the HSPAMM database, any differences in the
progression of disease, or medical care in the HIV-1-infected Hawaiian/part
Hawaiian community compared to other ethnicities in Hawaii.
Analysis will be conducted in the next several months.
