How to Use GCG

Note: You must have a Unix account on the PBRC system before using GCG or SeqWeb. If you don't have an account, request one now.

To access the GCG command-line programs, you must use a secure shell (SSH) client. Information about downloading and installing SSH programs is available from the ITS website. Choose the appropriate link for your computer platform:

Mac (OS 7 - 9)     Mac (OS X)     PC

After you have installed the SSH software, connect to:

gcg2.pbrc.hawaii.edu

and use your Unix username and password to login.
